Human factors within accidents are consistently identified as the root cause of many fatalities. With the help of Interactive Driver Response Research (I.DRR), our team is able to incorporate human factors and driver response research into real-life crash scenarios.

I.DRR utilizes a technique called “Adjustment-to-Baseline” which uses a baseline from other real-life cases. This is a method to estimate a driver’s response time based on the theory that response times are additive. This suggests they increase or decrease by a constant amount and therefore can be compared to a baseline.

I.DRR helps reconstructionist determine acceleration rates, acceleration times, deceleration rates, search times, response to lead vehicles, traffic signals, steering and braking capabilities, response, avoidance, and discernability distance. Many other calculation features are computed to create a detailed report.
